Why do real solid woods have differences in color?
In the growth process of trees, due to the different environment, natural light, growth height, density as well as soil, the same tree species vary from place to place. Even trees that grow in the same forest can take on different colors and textures.
Why does real solid wood have wood knots?
When trees grow, lateral branches or dormant buds gradually grow apart from the trunk, which produces wood knots. The places where the wood knots grow are the strongest places over the whole tree. Trees inevitably expose to wind and rain when they grow in nature. The damaged parts will become stronger and more powerful, reliably supporting the whole tree to develop and grow into the sky.
Too many or too few wood knots are not good for wood floors. A good amount of wood knots add natural and unique textures for wood floors, making them more attractive.
Care instructions:
If the wood decks are used outdoors, we recommend treating them at least twice a year with wood preservative or wood oil. Without care, the top layer of the wood may decompose and lead to moisture-induced cracks in the surface or deformations.
